Sleek Enchanted Forest Palette

I have wanted a burgundy eyeshadow since all the autumn winter make-up tutorials hit the scene. As soon as I realised I didn't have the available in my collection it was something I would certainly love to add. I came across this palette when browsing the make-up counter and not only did I find the shade I had been looking for but others too!

I thought these colour in particular were perfect for the festive season. The emerald green shades, deep berries and opulent purples have been creating the most beautiful eye looks for my winter evenings out. I wouldn't normally go for these shades but I'm really branching out of my comfort zone with make-up recently. First red lipstick, now I've expanded my neutral eyeshadow collection, who knows whats in store next! For now I have to admit I'm having more fun than ever experimenting from my usual.

I'm sure it will take me a while to get comfortable with all the shades but they greens and red tones have brought so much festivity to my make-up looks. There is the classic gold if you, like me, prefer to let your outfit do the talking. However I have to admit I have put no effort in to my party season outfits this year so the make-up is all that is getting me through.
As for the shadows themselves I wouldn't expect anything other than the high pigment from a brand such as sleek, these did not let me down. There are four matte shades and the rest are shimmers. I know that isn't for everyone but I have a lot of mattes in my collection and if this isn't the time of year to add shimmer I'm not sure when is.

As for longevity, with a primer they really do last all night. Shamefully I actually slept in mine the first time I tried the palette and I have to admit my make-up didn't look too shabby at all in the morning! The only thing I noticed was creasing but again with a good primer and base this can be easily resolved.

The packaging like always is all black with the brand logo in a sheen. The mirror is big enough to top up or finish your make-up on the go. I also like using these to do the eye make-up as you can see it up close and make sure everything is perfectly blended. As always I wouldn't recommend the kit brush but inexpensive alternatives are available. Not really sure why they insist on still providing those useless sponge applicators.
I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope this new found appreciation for beauty products means you will be getting some more posts on the subject soon.
