About Invisible Illness Looks Like Me
My first diagnosis of an invisible illness (Endometriosis) in my teen years was something I never talked about riddled in shame and isolated by the lack of understanding.
Following graduating and approximately three years into the world of work I was diagnosed with two autoimmune conditions (Sjogren's syndrome and Connective Tissue Disorder) following a series of infections that continuously knocked me down.
At this point I reached out to the community online who had a shared experience, and it was like I’d been seen and heard for the first time which encouraged me to create a safe space to discuss, amplify and advocate for all the times we’ve been told “You don’t look sick”.
I hope you join me on this venture as it is huge part of my life too.
