Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara

After seeing a lot of hype from fellow bloggers over this mascara I thought I would pick it up and see what I thought for myself.
Mascara's are always a tricky one as I really do think it depends on your lashes and also what kind of style you like but as always I will do my best to give you my opinion. I opted for the waterproof version as I thought that would be good for summer with going on holiday and so on... Nothing to do with the fact I'm the most emotional person ever at the minute (I even cry at adverts - I'm aware that this is very unusual and my case of not being able to hold it together is severe). I much prefer the normal versions packaging though the black and pink is so much cuter, ah well. As the waterproof goes I was impressed, I wore this on a pedalo outing and was in and out of the sea and not a smudge in sight. I found it would only budge if I rubbed my eyes with water on them and even that wasn't anything too dramatic.

The product is very wet so I actually take the wand out while I apply two steps previously as this helps to dry the mascara making it less slippery to apply which can cause the transfers I have heard a few people complaining about. The I use the shorter side of the want to thicken the roots of my lashes and the other longer side to fan them out. I have found this a a good technique with this mascara.

Another tip is that less is more this mascara doesn't build well it just makes you eyelashes clumpy and stick together. A little goes a long way and makes your eyelashes look much better. I have naturally curled lashes which is obviously an advantage but I find it can make them look much shorter than the actually are. It's not often I don't wear lashes these days but this will definitely make me feel more confident without them. I find the separation good and it doesn't make my lashes look much longer but certainly enchases them.

Have any of you tired it, let me know what you thought!
