Ways To Wear The Must-Have Accessory Of This Season: Scarf

I have noticed such a rise in the use of the scarf accessory over the past few months. The original big, chunky, knitted designs have been replaced by a smaller and sleeker finish. After picking this up in my recent Asos haul I wanted to prove how versatile it really can be.
It started for me with the skinny scarf, which I loved but it took me a while to pluck up the courage and buy one for myself. I did a whole post on wearing it (here) and didn't look back, I would add it to any basic outfit to give it that little something extra. This transitioned in to the revival of the bandana with western influences creeping in to mainstream style. As much as I thought it was cool it personally wasn't me, I couldn't get out of my head how I used to wear it in my pre-teen years, not so cool.

Then before we know it silk-like materials, beautiful prints and bright colours were incorporated in to a heap of new designs and I wanted in. I picked up this one in particular because the leopard print trend is going to be big this autumn winter, but I think generally it always comes back at some point. I also like the pink stripe within it got me thinking how well it would go with my wardrobe.
Neck Tie
I think this is my favourite ways of wearing it. It has an air hostess feel at first but the more you get used to it the chicer it is. It works best with v-necks or crew necks as anything to high just ends up getting in the way. Ideally you would add this to a plain outfit to jazz it up and bring all the attention up top.
Bag Strap
This is a more subtle way of adding a scarf in to your look. Simply wrapping it around your bag means you don't have to worry about if it sitting in the right place as it's not physically attached to you. It is a great way of updating one of your old bags that is in need of more love, helping you to wear it in a new way. This one helps to compliment the colour of the bag by the pink matching perfectly, which was completely by coincidence but I would now recommend trying to achieve the same. It looks like they were made for each other!
Hair Bow
This is great for those bad hair days. Throughout school and even in to my sixth form years I loved hair ties, especially the ones with wire which I could shape like bunny ears, so cute. Now for a more mature look tying a scarf can have the same effect keeping your hair off your face or used to take your ponytail/bun to the next level.
Belt
Finally the last way I have been using is wearing it as a belt. I know you are probably thinking has she gone crazy? Well no, not yet anyway. Belts aren't something I have invested in for a while, in fact I have two black and gold ones and that is it! This is the perfect way to make more of a statement and it can fit your waist perfectly without having to punch more holes in it, bonus.
The possibilities are endless...
