Today I bring to you, a Boohoo X Dress of the month collaboration. This is their latest campaign involving a few of their favourite bloggers who will be styling the same dress in their own individual way.
As I arrived home from my holiday it was exciting to return home to something unexpected from one of my favourite affordable brands. As I didn't want to even think about unpacking my case I was happy to get right into this and see what dress I would be styling. Boohoo have a great selection of summer day and evening dresses (which you can see here) so I was reassured that it would be something I was bound to love.
After peeling back the parcel it revealed this lightweight, tiered, lacey midi dress and I was overjoyed. I knew with it's bohemian style exactly how I wanted to wear it. The lace itself I feel taps into the embroidery trend you can't escape from this season. The way it has been implemented into the design through panels is very flattering on the figure as well as adding something different to your ever-growing LBD collection. My favourite part is by lifting up the lining slightly higher (the belt helps to keep this in place) the bottom panel can become sheer which I think makes it something truly special.
To keep in theme I delved into my hat collection which seems to have been left basically untouched for the past few months. This pale grey colour added some lightness in to the look helping to soften the appearance. What would a styling challenge be if I didn't include something pastel? It wouldn't seem right that's for sure! This hint of lilac did the job perfectly and when I purchased the cross-body bag for my grad ball I had no idea how much I would use it in day to day life afterwards. Although I would categorise my fashion sense as mostly 'girly girl' I did love throwing on these boots to add a tough twist.
